At Cape Marina, the privacy of our customers and visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through our website (capemarina.com), at our facility, and through our text messaging program, and how we use and protect it. If you have questions or need more information, contact us at  admin@capemarina.com.

By using our website, doing business with us at our facility, or opting in to our text messaging program, you consent to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you sign a Slip/Storage License Agreement, complete intake or vendor paperwork, make a purchase, request a fuel ticket or receipt, contact us, or otherwise do business with us, we collect the information you give us, which may include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone and mobile numbers, vessel information, insurance and registration documents, and payment information needed to complete a transaction.

Website log files. Like most websites, capemarina.com uses log files. These record visitors’ internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring and exit pages, and number of clicks. This information is not linked to any personally identifiable information and is used to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather demographic information.

Cookies and web beacons. Our website may use cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences and the pages they visit, in order to customize content. Third-party advertisers or analytics providers that appear on our website may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons in their own content. capemarina.com has no access to or control over these third-party cookies. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; consult your browser’s help documentation for instructions.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide slip, storage, fuel, yard, and store services; to administer your account and License Agreement; to process payments and send invoices, receipts, and fuel tickets; to communicate with you about scheduling, service work, billing, safety, and marina operations; to comply with legal, insurance, and regulatory obligations; and to improve our website and services.

Text Messaging (SMS) and Mobile Information

If you provide your mobile phone number to Cape Marina — on a Slip/Storage License Agreement or intake form, at our point of sale, by texting us, or by giving it to our staff — and you opt in to receive text messages, we collect and store your mobile number, your consent record (how and when you opted in), and the content of text messages exchanged with you.

We use this information to send fuel tickets and point-of-sale receipts you request, account and service notifications, safety and severe-weather alerts, and to respond to questions you text us. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers and message content only with the service providers that deliver text messages on our behalf, and only for the purpose of delivering those messages.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and you may get help by replying HELP, calling (321) 783-8410, or emailing  dockmaster@capemarina.com. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Our full text messaging terms are available at  https://capemarina.com/sms-terms/.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate our business (for example payment processors, our marina management and point-of-sale software, and messaging and email providers), and only as needed for them to perform those services; with insurers, the Canaveral Port Authority, or government agencies when required by law, regulation, or the terms of your License Agreement; and as necessary to enforce our agreements, collect amounts owed, or protect the safety of people and property at the marina.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

This Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers, websites, or service providers. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you use.

Children’s Information

Cape Marina does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through our website, contact us immediately and we will promptly remove it from our records.

Your Choices

You may review or update the contact information we hold for you by contacting the Dockmaster’s office at  dockmaster@capemarina.com or (321) 783-8410. You may opt out of text messages at any time as described above. Please note that your License Agreement requires you to keep current contact information on file with the marina.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at  https://capemarina.com/privacy-policy/ with its effective date.
